What Options does ABC Dental Offer for anxious patients?

We understand that going to the dentist can be a stressful experience for some people. ABC Dental offers the following comfort options for our patients

Sleep Dentistry (IV Sedation)

Happy Gas

The Wand

What is Sleep Dentistry?

With the assistance of a medically trained doctor, we offer sleep dentistry for patients in need. This involves putting you to sleep, whilst our team of experienced clinicians completes the work.

This can also be an excellent options for patients who have sensitive gag reflex, and find it difficult to manage at the dentist.

We have treated many patients under sleep dentistry. To find out more, please give us a call on 8383 1400

What is Happy Gas

Happy gas, in past known as “Laughing Gas”, has been used in dentistry for a very long time. Today, the pharmacodynamics and the mechanism has greatly evolved. Happy Gas is administered by our team of experienced clinicians, and involves fitting a small mask that fits over the nose.

It helps patients feel relaxed, comfortable, and less anxious during dental treatments. Happy gas also reduces pain and sensitivity, making the procedures more tolerable. Happy gas does not put patients to sleep, but rather makes them feel calm and happy. The effects of happy gas wear off quickly after the mask is removed, and patients can resume their normal activities soon after the treatment.

Happy gas is safe and effective for both adults and children, and it can be used for various dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants

What is The Wand

YOU WON’T FEEL A THING, SERIOUSLY

Most dentists say “you won’t feel a thing,” but you often do. With the Wand, the opposite is true.

The Wand removes human error by administering the injection at a slow and steady pace, eliminating burning sensations and discomfort. The best part is that the Wand can also be used to numb a single tooth without affecting the lip and tongue. This means you can eat, drink, and talk directly after leaving our office, getting you back to your routine more quickly.

ELIMINATE FEAR WITH APPEARANCE

Injections are associated with syringes, but not anymore. The Wand resembles a miniature computer tower, complete with a small cartridge on top that is used to administer the anaesthetic.

This makes it even more effective at alleviating fear, especially for children who are unsure of what to expect at the dentist.
